Born and raised in NYC, Zoro has spent several years working in nightlife as a manager, DJ, and educator. Inspired by her multidisciplinary background she found her love in hosting and throwing parties, managing all aspects at once.
Empowered by the sense of liberation, community, and her love for the music, she pursued a DJ adventure of her own. With the goal of learning more about the art form and the industry she worked in, she taught herself how to spin both digital and vinyl. Feeling grateful for what her community had shared with her she began offering mentorship to friends. Reminded how reciprocal the cycle of learning and teaching is, her goal is to share this art-form with more people, and to make it as accessible as possible.
Pulling from her real-world experience as both a DJ and venue manager she provides students with a comprehensive and well rounded education. Having spent many nights open to close running parties of her own she knows what makes or breaks a set, and prepares students for best and worst case scenarios. She is a firm believer in the power of music as a healing tool to help ground ourselves in our bodies and the community around us.
